Flamingo is a small, independent, values driven consultancy. Flamingo's clients range from large well-recognised international NGOs, through to smaller and medium sized local CSOs. We also work with individuals providing coaching and mentoring.

We also work with civil society networks, and Foundations.

We occasionally sub-contract through larger consultancy or training firms.

How we work

Initial Free Consultation

Contact Rachel for a no-cost consultation, to discuss your requirements. A consultation can be an exploration of your situation, and how I might be able to help, a discussion about methodologies and approaches, or for you to meet me and work out if I am the right person for your task.

Contracts

Once we have agreed the scope of work/workplan, we can draw up a contract.

Many organisations have their own templates for this - Flamingo can also supply a simple contract template if this helps.

Day rates

Flamingo usually works on the basis of pre-agreed, inclusive, and salary equivalent day rates. Flamingo is open to day rate negotiation where budgets are limited.

VAT is not chargeable, as Flamingo's income is below the VAT threshold.

Short or interim term

Contracts can be short-term (from half a day upwards to 25 days), or longer term, interim style contracts.

Where appropriate, e.g. with an interim contract, invoices will be supported with timesheets.
